June is National Safety Month

Safety is Important . . . but June is About Greater Awareness

June is National Safety Month when broad topics of workplace safety get greater attention and focus. The National Safety Council (NSC), coordinated in conjunction with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) selects specific safety themes for each week of the month.

Here Are Key Safety Measures for Each Week

Weekly Safety Topics for 2024

  • Week 1 (June 1-8): Safety Engagement
  • Week 2 (June 9-15): Roadway Safety
  • Week 3 (June 16-22): Risk Reduction
  • Week 4 (June 23-30): Slips, Trips and Falls

All workers can show their dedication to safety by taking the National Safety Council’s SafeAtWork pledge and committing to safety by:

  • Actively help my employer improve our safety programs
  • Reporting hazards promptly and suggest solutions
  • Being a safety role model for my friends and family, even off the job

Take the pledge today!
